Born in a music-loving family, Hindol has received his initial training from his mother,Smt. Bharati Devi and uncle Shri Susanta Chattopadhyay, disciple of pt Monilal Nag); later he received his extensive training from Pt. Amar Karmakar (disciple of Ustad Vilayat Khan Saheb) till date; hindol also received his vocal talims from Pt. Kalyan Bose and from Pt. Nidan Bandhu Bandopadhyay.
Hindol Chattopadhyay is considered one of the most engaging, intelligent and talented instrumentalists in contemporary Hindusthani Music. The qualities, which he conjures up on the sitar with such ease, have so far earned him an international reputation of considerable distinction.
His recognition as an artist is firmly grounded in his deep understanding of the classical style.His masterly conception of the grand design and architechture of the ragas has enabled him to innovate with in instrumental form, and this is especially evident in his creative approach to as Hindol created two ragas named PITAMBARI and ASHRUSINCHAN which are admired and approved by the A-TOP GRADED ARTIST VIDUSI KALYANI ROY of Etawa Gharana. Vocal and Bengali Modern songs, Geet, Bhajan, Najrulgeeti, etc. He has
written a book on music titled “How to Compose Your Own Music.”
Pracheen Kala Kendra – Sangeet Visharad (Fifth Year) in
Flute Classical Second Division in the Annual Examination in the year 1990 to
1991. Certificate was given to him on
September 30, 1991.
Akhil Bharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Samsad – Prabin . He appeared in the exam from the school
Nandakini of Taltala, Baguiati in the year 2003. Classical (vocal) first division in the year
2004 on July 5.
All India Radio – Calcutta – in the year June 26, 1993, he
played as Effect Accompaniment.

ANNUAL
FUNCTION OF KAKALI BITAN SANGEET BIDYALAY
Recently
the 14th annual function of Kakali Bitan Sangeet Bidyalay at
Lokosanskriti Bhavan of Sodepur. The inaugural song was presented by
Mr. Deborshi Chakraborty. Rabindrasageet was performed by Ms. Mr. Anurupa
Kar, Mr. Parthasarathi Bhaumik, Ms. Mausumi Bhattacharya. Nazrulgeeti was
performed by Ms. Susmita Ganachaudhury, Ms. Sudipta Ganachaudhury, Ms. Ellora
Bandyopadhyay. Modern songs were presented by Ms. Dipankar Sharma and Ms.
Anusuya Guhathakurata. The notable attraction is the musical performance
of Mr. Trinesh Dewanjee (Neelkantha) in lyrics and music. Inspite of a good
arrangement by the organizers, the poor attendance of the audience proved
that the popularity of the Rabindra- Najrul evening is dyeing out.
Three
days cultural program on classical music on Shastriya Sangeet Ashorevery evening at 6 pm on 25th, 26th, and 27th July 1998 at

Sodepur Lokosanskriti Bhavan. Mr. Dewanjee played

Khardaha Sangeet
Samaj: Mr. Trinesh Dewanjee played flute at 64 Bosepara Road, Khardaha,
north 24 parganas. He was accompanied in Tabla by Sri Subhas Sinha
Roy. The other instruments players were Sri Nilotpal Chakraborty
accompanied in Tabla by Sri Shankar Ganguly, vocal recital by Sri Bimalendu
Ghosh who was accompanied in tabla by Mr. Balaram Bhattacharya.
This performance was given at Charubala Primary school in Khardaha on 9th September 1990
at 6:30 p.m.
Mr.
Trinesh Dewanjee was the organizing secretary of Bharatiya Sanskriti Sangha, West Bengal (established on 12th January 1986,
located at 34 Barabagan lane, Kolkata -700035). He was also the
organization’s Editor. In this organization, reputed musician and
literary personalities are present. They are Mr. Sanjib Chattopadhyay (
eminent literatteur), Mr. Ruby Mitra (Sur Bharati, Sangeet Bharati), Ms. Chabi
Mukhopadhyay (reciter and dance teacher), vocal artists like Mr. Dilip Lodh,
Mr. Gautam Basak, Dr. Dhyanesh Narayan Chakraborty MA, PHD Shastri Bachaspati,
Ms. Mala Dey (M. Mus. Music artist).
Mr.
Dewanjee was the judge in Flute at Chatra Juba Utsav in a state level
competition in flute. The event took
place from 12th to 15th December, 1994. This West Bengal Chatra Yuba Utsav 1994
took place at Jorasanko on 13th December at 12

On
18th March 1997 Tuesday at 6 pm,. Mr. Dewanjee played
harmonium while Mr. Mukhopadhyay
sang Bhajan and Kheyal and Mr. Subhas Kanti Das played Amulya Mohan the table
as accompaniment. Tabla Lahara was performed by Mr. Parimal
Mukhopadhyay. Mr. Uday Bandyopadhyay sang songs of Pandit Gyanprakash
Ghosh and also sang Raagpradhan songs, and was accompanied in table by Mr.
Sabyasachi Chattopadhyay. Mr. Indrajit Bandyopadhyay played Sitar and was
accompanied in Tabla by Mr. Mihir Kundu.

MAIN FORMULA FOR LIFE IS LOVE: MANNA DEY

At Sukanta Sadan in Barackpore, a felicitation program was organized along with
a musical program. In this cultural evening, Mr. Mohanlal Mitra,
Mr. Manna Dey, Mr. Ashish Chakraborty, Mr. Sukhbilash Sharma, Mr. Narayan
Chandra Ghosh, Mr. Bhagirath Maitra, and Mr. Arjun Prasun Bandyopadhyay.
At the end of the felicitation program, musical performance was given by Ms.
Rinku Biswas, Nilkantha (Mr. Trinesh Dewanjee ) and the students
of Kakali Bitan. But the main attraction was
the performance of Mr. Manna Dey. Mr. Manna Dey is tired due to his old
age but he is the best as he has won the hearts of the audience. His
songs like ‘Jadi Himalay Aaj Jadi’, ‘Aj Abar Sei Pathey,’ ‘Monay Porey Sei
Din,’ ‘Sundari Go’, ‘E toh Rag Noi’, ‘Ei Kuley Aami,’ ‘Dur Hai Kinara’, etc.
have won the hearts of the audience. He told the reporter of Sambad Akhon
some of his favorite ideas.
Manna Dey is a bright
example of the musical world. He is not only successful as a musician but
he is also a great personality. On May of this year, he has reached 80
years of age.
Q: How do you
accept the love of the audience in this way? Do you feel irritated?
Manna Dey: Why
will I get irritated, love is the main thing. It is through love by which
we can conquer everything.
Q: How do you
feel performing in the age of the cable channels?
Manna Dey: I do
not find any difficulty. Good listeners want to get something and
likes good songs. As long as I am physically fit, I will continue
singing. Music is my life.
We took this interview

government offices, looking for financier of ADIBASI SAMBAD, looking for
trainer of self employment schemes of Khatra Adibasi Culture and Development
Center. He was worked with very low

various dance teachers like Swapan Ray, Sapna Chatterjee, Samit Chatterjee,
Jalsa Chandra. He has learnt Indian
classical vocal for 4 months from Mr. Kishore Chakraborty, disciple of Nikhil
Banerjee, the reputed sitarist. He has
learnt classical piano from his son, Aditya Bikram Chakraborty, grade I and 2
only. He has studied Performing Arts
Therapy in Rabindra Bharati University. In this Performing Arts Therapy, he has
attended lectures of Foreign Music Therapists and Indian Musicians and surgeons
who have used music therapy as the tool for curing physically and mentally
challenged people and cured them upto 90% with the blessing of the Almighty
God! He has a lot of interest in religion and often visits Belur Math,
Dakshineswar Math, ISKCON temple at Mayapur.
He regularly does "jap" counting of beads of Hare Krishna
Mahamantra. He also reads various
religious books on Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna and he is now reading
Ramakrishna Kathamrito. He is also
reading the Holy Bible. He regularly
helps people with reiki healings. He
helps NGOs get funds. He has a dream to
start his own NGO in the near future! He
has worked at BPO sector in the Medical transcription field for 6 years. He is working in NGO sector for 1 year. He has a lot of interest in music and listens
all kinds of music whether it is western classical, indian classical modern
bollywood songs, bengali modern songs, etc.
For this reason, he has joined NGO Srijony Welfare Society, a music
based NGO. He has started his own school
named PERFORMING ARTISTS SOCIETY under Srijony Bongiya Sangeet Kala
Kendra. He teaches Keyboard, mouth organ
and various other subjects. He is also
recruiting good teachers from various fields to enrich the activities of his school
and in future, he is planning to make tie ups with foreign institutions of
Performing Arts.
